Winter Pantry Fill
Cold months double the number of families who visit the pantry. Help us stock the shelves before the first frost.
Why now
Every winter the number of households visiting the Neighbour Pantry roughly doubles. Heating bills rise, hours get cut and the shelves empty faster than we can fill them.
The Winter Pantry Fill raises $60,000 to buy staples in bulk before prices climb, and to run extra pantry hours through to March.
What the money buys
$25 provides 12 hot meals from the pantry and kitchen
$50 stocks a week of groceries for a family of four
$100 keeps the hall heated for an extra opening day
$250 buys a pallet of staples that feeds 40 households
Every dollar raised goes to food, heating and the volunteers’ travel costs. Nothing is taken for fundraising.
